Any product that has a Fast and the Furious animation is just crap. These resistors will not work, they're supposed to fool our ECU but it's too smart for that.

I would be afraid to try it.

Has anyone used this?

Besides, I didn't buy my xB for hp, I bought it because of great gas mileage.

I like the way the pictures show a resistor just jammed into the sensor harness.

I always wondered why they have those items
The only chip that I would buy is if it's for the ECU.
Though it's expensive it's well worth it.
Usually my stock ECU for a B16 the VTEC kicks in at around 5800.
Now it kicks in at 5200 - 8200.
So it's well worth the extra boost.

People would stop selling them if people didn't buy them. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Sounds like a awesome product. I'm buying four of them, that should give me about 80hp to the wheels. Vipers beware!! hehe

+20HP SPEEDCHIP TOYOTA MATRIX / SCION xA / xB/ tC 89-04

From that, it appears the tC was around in 1989?

I don't understand what this speed chip is supposed to do. Can someone explain the theory cause I never heard of this mod before. I also don't see how it can increase hp by 20 or increase anything.

I think it's supposed to fool the ECU into thinking the car is getting more air than it is so that it'll increase the fuel delivered.

So it should work? I read the buyer reviews from that guy, its around 92% and lots of people are buying that speedchip. So in theory, the chip should work if the engine is getting more fuel?

I think its supposed to trick your tC's computer into thinking that you're getting cooler air than what you're actually getting, causing you to pull more air and fuel into the engine.. I could be wrong, though
