This is not the basic question of how to reset the maintenance required light. I know the steps for that. My problem is this: I've exceeded 5,000 miles since the last reset and the light has not gone back on. Its as if the maintenance light has been disabled.

This is on a 2006 tc, with about 50k miles.

Nope, man thats not it - it still lights up during ignition, when the whole dash lights up.

 

maybe try doing the reset procedure again?

 

do you do a lot of highway miles? I'm not sure if our light is tied directly to the odometer or if it has relation to engine hours too. I'd say not to worry about it now, it'll come on eventually.
