Whats up everyone? I am new here and found a lot of useful info on this site.

I was installing a axxess Ipod aux in my tc. After i finished the install I turned on my car and now I can't see the gear lights next to the shift ****. Can someone help me troubleshoot this issue.

you must be an auto then, you probably didn't place the light back in or you pulled on it to hard and the light ripped off which really shouldn't happen.

 

It is a manual trans. I can figure out how to turn them back on.

not to be rude but what the heck are gear lights and also next to the shifter?? cause i know the gauge cluster doesn't show them.

yeah if you mean the cubby hole light, then you probably didn't plug it back in which should of never had been disconnected but if it just doesn't turn on then you should check your fuses

No problem. I am not able to see what gear I am. The lights that show drive, park, reverse dont work.

 

 

OMG this is what i feel like doing right now dude you have an AUTOMATIC then cause it only shows that for autos P-R-N-D-3-2-1 MANUAL doesn't tell you if your in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,R.

^^you said it's a manual but the lights that display drive-park-reverse doesn't light up which means it's an auto, sorry we're not tring to be mean but you just said all the stuff that are in an auto.

 

I know...no big deal..just trying to fix it. Sorry about that.

 

Well there's a little bulb under the plastic piece with the numbers/letters on it. You could have pulled out the wire somehow or blown a fuse. It should only take a couple of minutes to remove the panels to find out what has happened to the bulb and the wires.

 

so... i'm still confused.. is it an auto or manual?

ROFL. would be cool to have shift lights with the manual. haha.
