Default is it me? i cannot get this seat adjusted properly....

my right hip and lower calf are constantly hurting driving this car (auto). i cannot get comfortable. i shift back and forth, lean to the left, adjust the freakin' levers every which way and i'm still always uncomfortable. every time i get out i feel a need for a chiro adjustment. i'm gonna look into new seats because i like the car and i'm pretty sure it must be me but dang! these seats are uncomfortable.

just whining

I just have a hard time getting into a position where my legs are comfortably extended enough AND I'm close enough to the wheel for a proper shuffle-steering driving position.

i can't figure it out. i'm either too far, close, low, high, yada, yada. it just never feels comfortable (and literally hurts after a long drive day). gonna look into new seats unless i can find the setting. one would think that in the infinite settings of the seat, one could replicate the last seat that didn't hurt.

FYI, you'd be surprised how much a large/fat wallet can kill your back without realizing it. I have to take my wallet out for long drives because my back, not my butt, starts hurting. I only know this via a chiropractor that told my brother this.

I have heard the same thing from Chiros and phys trainers. I always take mine out on long trips, it is definitely not good for your back

The memory seating on my car is all messed up. Sometimes I when slide the seat forward, it will go back to its original spot, most of the time it doesn't. I always have to readjust my seat. Anyone else have this problem?

Stop complaining. At least you have a car. Would you rather walk every where or take the public transportation. You are acting like a rich person that just bought a Rolex only to complain that the diamonds are distracting when hit by the sunlight.

I'm 6'4" and the seat seems comfortable to me. Any time that I've had a issue it was immediately resolved by taking my wallet out of my pocket. Most men develop back problems from sitting unevenly on a wallet all their lives...

now that you mention it, my seating position is i beat too far from my arms but if i move my back rest one position up i'll be too close to the steering wheel...they need to make the steering wheel be able to pull in and out like the Mazda 3 (which my bro has one)

my knee will feel awkward after a lil bit but being a manual have to not rest on the brakes at red lights give me that little relax time before getting on it again.

A lot of problems start in the lower back. Try sitting upright as much as possible or stick a small pillow behind your lower back. Don't recline too far ! "Sittin' pimp" will kill you. I have a cylinder pillow that vibrates (quit laughing !) that I bought at Sharper Image (only $20) for the long trips. Makes a BIG difference! One more thing, you can try to tilt your steering wheel to a more comfortable position.

Lose some freakin' weight! My knee *rests* on the center console, but NEVER hurts. Sounds like some people here are just too WIDE!

Seat complainers

man, I hardly ever adjust my seat. I find them quite comfy, and my drive to and from work is about 45 minutes each way.

you're right....i oughta just sit my a$$ down in the uncomfortable seat and be thankful that i can afford a car. since i'm far from fat it must be that big 'ol fat wallet everyone is talking about. and with that fat wallet i bought a scion. dude, i am thankful i can afford a car....but i was also wondering if anyone else thought the f'in seats were uncomfortable and what they did about it. (bye the way, taking out the wallet helped immensely....thanks all)

he..he that was my first problem with the tC. Getting comfortable. Now I have my seat all the way back to have room for my legs. But the trade off is I have to keep my arms almost completely extended to hold the steering wheel, which makes my arms very tired. It would help big time if the steering wheel were telescopic.

But Im use to the car now, so its no longer uncomfortable.
