Default Midpipe Question/Help

Im in the market for a Tsudo Midpipe.

I have a 05' tC with a TRD axelback.

To those who have this set up did you encounter any problems with fitment or any other problems during installation?

It fits fine. If you search you'll find pics and vids.

I did the search. I read some having fitment issues and some weren't. I just want a straight answer from those who have experience with the set up. Just trying to avoid a hassle before placing my order.

I have one and have had 2 TRD exhausts since I've had the midpipe. Fits fine with the stock axle back as well which is what I have installed now.

Thanks for the info/help. Was install pretty straight forward? Unbolt the stock midpipe and replace with the tsudo midpipe? No special tools, accessories, or altering/manipulating parts to fit?

14mm socket, ratchet, jack and jack stands, and some WD40. Bolt the 2 sections together before install to save some time. The bolts that connect it to the downpipe may be a little stubborn to get loose. An impact wrench would be ideal if you have one.

Some people have issues with fitment, some do not, I think it all varies depending on the quality of the pipe Tsudo sends you. My TRD fits my Tsudo perfectly BUT does not fit the supplied gasket. OEM gasket is too small to fit over the Tsudo pipe, the Tsudo donut gasket is too thick to fit my TRD flange. Exhaust shop recommended widening the TRD exhaust or cutting it down half an inch a wider part of the pipe and reweld the flange there.

Like you said, some people have issues, some do not. I decided to just go ahead and get a Tsudo N1 to avoid having to cut apart the TRD. It's a VERY easy install. Just make sure you use jackstands.

Ghetto jackstands are not welcome here....

Where did you buy your midpipe from?

Thanks for the info. After all my searching. I agree with that it will all depend on the quality of pipe I get.
