i have absolutely no problems with the 4door civic Si. it's a 4 door, which is a bit more practical than the tC, and has a tiny bit more power. it's just that 3rd gear problem..

the tc is heavier than a civic si sedan?
curb weight:
civic si sedan: 2945 pounds
scion tc: 2930 pounds

what is this "i'm not feelin two doors anymore"? what is wrong with two nice big doors that are bias towards the driver and one other occupant? unless you frequently travel with more than 1 other person, not much justification for a 4 door just cause you want one.

but whatever, your money, your choices, just sounds like you have lame civic envy or something.

VW Passat turbo with the HI DEF body kit ( factory option ) under 28K and it looks 10 times better than ralli art lancer or any civic...

snap a bov on it.. and you are good to goo.. OMG:D i would love to get a car like that..

http://www.vw.com/vwfeatures/passat/en/us/

Si's are cool cars and they have good power plus the four doors are nice. The only thing I do not like is that the front looks sort of like a mini van but who cares. If you want a four door they are cool. Good luck.

thanks for the help guys i didnt even think about the new corolla ill look into that and for the VW i was thinking about the 4 door GTI or the GLI

draxcaliber the reason im getting a 4 door is because i drive a lot and i have many passsengers most of the time, not because i have an envy for civics they are just a good buy

Did you guys not get the memo on subaru recalling ALL new production impreza sales due to engine issues? lol

SI is real nice, that was my upgrade from the tC.

Which is fixed with an oil change.

If you want a Sedan the Si is one of the best in the 20-23k price range. However like someone said above the new raliart lancer is nice as well. I don't know what the MSRP is though on it.

An oil change does not affect a transmission issue, lol

Its a hit or miss with the 3rd gear issue, kinda like the spun bearings in the 05 tC;s. I have an 08 coupe, no issues so far. tC was an 05, with 42k miles on trade in.

Passat is a nice car, but Its more expensive and so is its insurance (turbo :-\) The civic si is more of drivers cars, hence its stiff suspension and high reving engine. CSOCSO go to a honda dealership and test drive one. You will see what I am talking about. I personally have an m3 for the luxury part, But I prefer the civic as a daily driver.
