Hopefully, the moonroof was not fully closed.

No whistle here, but a slight buffeting noise at slower speeds, nothing like the xB though.

I heard that noise too when I was on the freeway. The sunroof was closed all the way, I made sure. It wasn't too loud and the radio was off. Closing the shades did help get rid of it.

yes at higher speeds 70+ I hear a little of the wind. But most f the time I'll have my radio on or the top open. I've heard simmular sounds from ever car I've ever riddin in with a sunroof though.

i made sure to hold down on the button to make sure it was closed. and even with the shade closed it was still pretty loud. maybe it was just that car. i just wanted to make sure it wasnt the roof on all of them.

Time to see if Lund or Weathertech will produce moonroof wind deflectors for your tC.

you will get a little wind noise when the sun shade is open at highway speeds. best solution close the sun shade and that whistle your talking about disappears.

tC has one standard.

what he's talking about is when the sunroof is closed. at highway speeds he hears a whistle near the sunroof area. all owners has to do is close the sunshade.

standard wind deflector looks great. Don't want a dumb looking after market wind deflector to change perfect lines of the tC.

haven't noticed it at all on mine. one thing i DID notice was that low-pitched rumble that sort of shakes everything in your head. this may be the buffeting noise erickjam was talkin' about. i think it was in the 30 - 50 mph range. same thing happens in my buddy's jetta when you close the windows at mid-range speeds. anyway to compensate that sort of thing?

The whitsle happenned to me today as i was driving from the airposrt ot my house going about 75 mph. This never happenned to me before, and i thought maybe the strip might ahve came off, but i got out and checked it all, then i thought maybe it was because of the winds. Because today we had some nasty winds blowing and i am wondering if its just due to that, i will find out tomorrow. But then i also thought, maybe it could be that i took out my grill in the front? lol
But seriously it was SUPER LOUD, to the point where my volume is at 30 and its SCREAMING like a BOV. -_-

Yea...I havent heard of any moonroofs making noise, and I am sure if there is any...the warranty covers it...and also...if there is a lil whistle, most likely can just put some 3m tape or foam(done nicely...haha) to stop the noise/dull it down....
most NOISE problems are taken care with 3m or defening(sorry if spellings off) foam.

I use to have this problem where I heard a whistle when cruising on the freeway. I instantly thought it was the sunroof. So I closed the sunshade, that helped a little bit but I still heard a whistle. I hit the air recirculation button and then it was gone.

yeah i had it too, it only happens on really windy day and then doing 70-75mph.. i think it's the crosswinds causing the noise.. but it only happens once in awhile.. test drive another and see if it's quieter

and yeah try the recirc button too.. that could totally make sense as well
