Default Most Unbelieveable thing ever...... tC horror story

So after all the numerous problems i have had with my dealership (documented iin most of my posts)

i think its finally over...... nope not by a long shot
they screwed up so bad that they were willing to bring the car to my doorstep.
i get a call that they are on their way with the car. they arrive after 30 mins and park the car.

he gets out of the car and wants to show me the remote starter that came with the guidepoint package that i got.

hes fiddling with the starter and the key and tries to do it... but the car wont start
he tries again and the car wont start....
nthe car just isnt starting with the remote starter...

he jumps in to start the car with the key... but guess what
now that doesnt work either
the radio will come on but the car wont start at all... he spends half an hour h=calling people and triying things but no good....
he has to go back to deliver another car so he tells me he will call me when he gets back

i finally talk to him again and he says no one is there that installed it so hes gonna come back tomorrow morning to help me fix the problem somehow...
do any of you guys know anythig about guidepoint and teh remote starter and the car not turning on
everything works fine but the car just wont start......

i need help

im about to just say screw this whole situation and not even get this car
i really want it but ive had nothing but problems from day 1

the car is just a big 3000 pound radio in front of my house

ayone had issues like this before?

Sorry man. You should really try to get a different car from another dealership. It sounds like they dont know what they are doing.

If they accidently deleted the keys its possible that the car is stopping itself from starting.

Or when they installed the remote starter they put in the WRONG key and the car is stoping itself from starting.

Thats the onnly thing I can think of...but I work with immobilizer systems all the time.

Actually, check this. Put one of your keys in the ignition, and check the blinking light that is by the graphic with the car and the key. If it is still blinking when you put the key in the ignition, it means that your car doesn't recognize the key and it won't start.

You have luck like me.

Just got my sunroof "repaired", again. They reset it. According the owner's manual, this can be done by holding the "close" button down for two seconds when it is already closed. I myself had already done this "repair" multiple times when trying to get the sunroof to function correctly on my own. I got tired of it acting up again and again so today when it did it I took it into the dealer for a professional fix.

What do you know, I'm just as good at "repairing" a Scion as a certified technician!

(I'm certain its just a matter of days before it does it again.)

Yeah, it is. But I held it down for about 15 seconds when resetting it and still acted up a few days later.

Getting in and out of it I tend to get pretty strong static shocks and I wonder if that isn't somehow messing with the programming in that unit.

Seems wierd that cars are having software problems these days.

Probably a fail-safe was triggered like a e-brake wire and if its an automatic then a gear position switch.

If I were you, I wouldn't take delivery of that car. I would ask for another one. When there is an electrical problem, it never really goes away unless you change out the entire assembly. Don't take a chance on a currently 3000 lbs paper weight.

used a bad wire for one of the connections and that was causing a fuse to go when you stopped the car
