Default motor number??

so i got screwed when i bought the scion back in aug. I got over charged near 400$ on the tax. Now the state of FL is giving me the run around on getting the money back. In one of the many pieces of paper work i have been forced to fill out, it asks for my motor number. **May be a stupid question but could this be the same as my vin? Or where can i find this?? Anyhelp is great, and much appreciated

If they have already asked for your VIN in the paperwork I would imagine that it would be the engine code - Which is 2AZFE - Hope this helps

the only numbers they should care about is the VIN number, and the title number. that is all.

oh, and they might want to know the license plate number. but motor number, i can't imagine why they would need that, but it would be directly linked to the VIN number anyway. did you get this straightened out yet?

i work for toyota and any information that is ever asked for is the vin number, that should be what they mean... in terms of the tax issue you should be getting ur money back because it illegal to over charge a customer for state tax, gl
