i know this isn't the place for this but im not part of toyota life, so my question is can you get the mk3 mr2 in hard top or is their some kind of conversion for soft tops?

Yes. Although you might have to source it from japan.

I own a 2003 MR2 Spyder, and here's the deal on the hard top. If you live in the US, basically give up. Every spyder owner wants a hard top, and Toyota no longer makes the parts. Sourcing from japan is basically no longer possible because, while you can get the latch hardware and all the other parts like gaskets and bolts etc, you can't actually get the fiberglass shell. If you can find one in the US, you'll likely still have to get it painted to match your car. Expect to spend somewhere between 2000 and 3000 (or up to 5000) just for a top, not including shipping from either somewhere in the US or Japan. Basically, it's really hard to find one, and IF you do, you'll likely end up paying more than you want to for it.

thanks for the info, i guess you better off getting black or red or whatever color you think would look good with the soft top
