Default To much oversteer?...

With the weight distribution being 61/39 front-to-rear, has anyone else noticed the occasinal, annoying oversteer? Wondering what any of you TC owners have done to counter this if anything... Suspension work is the obvious answer, Already decked that out, looking for out-of-the-box solutions, thanks...

When do you encounter oversteer?

Braking hard in a turn? quick transitions from turning left to rught? After lifting the throttle when in a turn?

After you can identify when and under what conditions you hit oversteer then you can begin to correct it.

Most people with front wheel drives would kill for oversteer. I noticed actually that the car does oversteer at lower speeds, but becomes neutral or even understeer at high speed turns.

If you want to correct oversteer, try stiffening your front suspension (front sway bar) and increasing tire pressure in the rear, or decrease tire pressure in the front.

Personally, I love oversteer.

true, true, oversteer is much more prefered than understeer, and I already said that I had done all the suspension mods, spy springs, trd shocks, front strut bar, and rear sway bar on race setting...also 18" X 7 1/2" axis wheels with bad-___ nitto neo-gen tires, Its just I have owned a couple of 50/50 balanced cars and the difference is defintly noticable. Its is only at lower speeds that this occurs, and easily avoidable/adjustable. I guess the best avoidence would be to aproach the apex of the turn a lil slower than I'm used to, and be a lil quicker dropin the clutch afterwards, thanks for the reply posts... this was probably a waste of a post question...I was bored at work, sorry!

Personally, I modified my car so that I had oversteer rather than understeer. I just like it better that way.

I remember from a while ago that the suspension for the tC was setup for oversteer at lower speeds and understeer at limit. The understeer is for safety but the oversteer was set up for that sporty car feel.

i've encountered OVERSTEER once. but all the other times, it was UNDERSTEER.

99% understeer and 1% oversteer with stock suspension.

but i upgraded springs so i only have understeer from time to time

oversteer is caused by heavy braking and a huge front brake bias

yeah....

with that much of a weight off-balance in the tC....it should have killer UNDERsteer...not oversteer. oversteer is actually hard to achieve in a FF car unless you're doing e-brake stuff or really stupid ____...-.-;;
