Default muffler question

Wanted to know if any you have changed only the muffler to give the tC a more throaty sound? I don't really want to replace the exhaust system, $$, but would like it to sound more aggressive. I called a custom muffler shop, and they suggested putting on a Magna flow, will give it the sound with out the price. Are there any mufflers that can do what I want?

Are there any other options. Trying to get up to speed on the options for the tC just ordered one today and need to have parts here when the car shows up.

just changing the muffler will most likely cause a lot louder and annoying sound then going with a full exhaust. i would save up for a catback and do it right

Wait, wait, wait.... Huh?

Just a muffler will be louder than going with full piping?? Are you sure?

Could you explain that to me? Cuz I don't think so.....

I figured that leaving most of the stock piping would retain most of the stock sound (and hp restriction, unfortunately). But if you upgrade to larger piping from the cat back, then you get better flow, but increase the sound as well... Right?

the cat back will not make much more sound if any. I had the cat back borla, and it was a nice deep sound, not very loud at all
