Nice looking setup, but $4500? For a HU, 3 JL subs, a 500/1 amp, and box? Sounds like your friend took you to the cleaners, but that's just my opinion.

my junk was $1600 for a $400 kenwood headunit, 2 $400(at the time, now down to $350) Kicker L7's, $800 1200 watt kicker amp, and I custom box that they built, plus installation. they just told me $1600 and I was like word, I think they wanted stickers on my car, but I don't have any. those are the prices in their shop and on crutchfield.com

The cell phone is good, but you're not supposed to use fix-a-flat in Z-rated tires. I guess in a true emergency I might try, but I'd try the cell first.

What the hell is that ungodly mess?

I'm going in next week to get my system installed. Planning to have 1 12" alpine type S mounted in a custom form fitted box on the right side of the spare tire, with the amp on the left side. The only problem me and the isntaller see if how to keep the mats and carpet in the car without degrading sound quality too much. I got plans though!

The OP's system looks pretty good, but I'm not digging the bad gap between the left and right sides. For $4500....I'd expect something better than that.

He wasn't talking about your slot port, he was talking about the gap between the two panels in rampage1003's trunk:

I would bet money that the xB systenm runs circles around the tC system in SPL but it vise versa in a SQ contest.....

But all in all u got ripped for what u got but hey its his money not ours. If hes satisfied let it be what it is.

I have ran JL all my life but now I will be runnign another brand. Seems there is alot more bang for your buck out there with other brands. But not to stur up the pot but I have never heard of anyone running 3 subs off a 500/1 Mono class amp before. I have (2) 10w3 running off a 500/1 but they bridged it to 250 a sub, how the heck did they bridge 3 subs?????
