Default my guages don't dance anymore

so, i have about 1000 miles on my tC. the other day i read about something where you can disable the seatbelt warning by pressing the reset button and putting in the seat belt, some type of procedure like that. well, it didn't work, it said something like bcp off, i think...but instead i managed to stop my gauges from dancing like they used to. you know, when you put the key in the on position, they sweep all the way to the max and back to zero.
now, only my temp and gas gauges move into position, but not the max to zero thing. all the guages work like normal, they just don't dance anymore. how can i fix this?

try disconnecting your battery for 10 min. and reconnect to see if it changes it.

Mine has the same problem. They stop sweeping after my first oil change. It annoyed me for a while then I just let it slips as it does not hurt the performance.

you can try this link: http://www.clubsciontc.com/modules.p...ewtopic&t=2602

there is a list of all the things you can "tweak" by using the car's trip meter. the one on the bottom explains how to turn on/off the "neede jump".

Lotsof movies had this song in it, but BioDome was one of the most obvious...
