Default My hatch rattle is gone!

It had been rattling for several months, and today I finally had the opportunity to bring it in to the dealer. The tech rode shotgun with me, and sure enough, he heard the hatch rattling. Which made me feel good, since it confirmed that I wasn't crazy. Luckily the road we drove on (a crappy, pot-holed concrete road) was perfect for recreating rattles. We got back to the dealership, and 25 minutes later, presto! rattles GONE! Apparently, (for my case) the license plate and frame were loose, as was the spare tire. I don't think I would have EVER even considered looking at the spare, unless I was riding in the trunk! Admittedly, I was skeptical, but the ride home was quiet and rattle free. So thank you Balise Scion!

What dealership did you bring it to since I'm in E.L. and mine has been rattling for a bit now. I'm just too lazy to do anything about it, but if the dealership will take care of it free of charge, then I'd get the motivation to at least bring it in.

Mine too - then it came back in a diff spot. Sounds like your rattle was because of body flex. I think im going to try looking at it before bring it back to the dealer.
