Default My passneger side window wont open.

How do I lower the window if my motor or switch is broken? Maybe my motor or switch isnt broken but either one of the two switches in the front wont lower my passenger side window and I want to tint it. How can I fix the problem!

There could be a couple of things wrong - the most likely is a simple fuse. You can check that under the steering wheel.

Another problem that may exist is that you passenger side was disconnected or another power wire was disconnected and has disabled the "auto down" feature. You will know that this is the case if the window swtich light is blinking. This is easy to fix if you can roll the window up and down using the passenger side button. Simply roll the window all the way down, then all the way back up and hold the swtich in the up position for a few seconds.

Is the window switch light even on? If not, then it may simply be that the window has been locked from the driver side. This happened to me not too long ago, and I had to laugh at myself when I found that I had been confused by a simple button. Make sure your window lock switch is depressed and give it another try.

window lock switch is depressed. The driver side light blinks in a blueish green. I tried loweirng the passenger side from the driver side and it wont go down. I tried lowering it from the passenger side and it still wont go. I know to reset it you have to be able to lower the passenger side but I cant Im thinking its either a short circuit but there are only so many wires. Or a fuse. Could it be anything else?

I think a fuse would be your best bet. You can take the switch out of the car and look at it - at least make sure that it's plugged in. It's not hard to take out.

Does the light on the passenger side turn on?

how about your sunroof??? if you've disconnected the battery then you'll have to go through some lil sequence to "turn them back on". search for it. the same thing happened to me when i disconnected the battery after installing my cai.

i think i know what is wrong. same thing happened to my tc the six months i had it.

passenger window wouldn't go down no matter what switch i pushed, wasn't fuse or window lock or anything quick and easy to replace.

took it to the dealership for a warranty repair, they said it was a bad master switch. sounds like that is your problem.

Dude!!!... lol same thing happen to me when I remove my negative from my battery, I believe you have to reinitialize your window motors from each door.

Ok, so basically I had this problem and I was unable to roll down the passenger side window from the driver side switches. If you notice, you'll see a little green light blinking on each door window switch.

Reset your window motor from each door:

1. Disconnect the negative on your car battery for 10 sec. and reconnect.

2. Using your driver side window switch, lower down your driver side window half way, then raise it back up all the way and hold it for 1 sec.

3. Go to passenger side, and use passenger side window switch to lower down passenger side window and basically repeat step 2 by lowering the passenger side window down half way and raising it back up all the way and hold 1 sec.

You will know if each window motor has been reset if you are able to press the switch so the window automatically go down or if you can lower the passenger side from the driver side window switches.

Hope this helps!

^^^ Yeah, already covered that. Don't think that's what it is. I am going to have to go with drax on this one... maybe you should just go to the dealership and have them look at that switch.

my passenger window was down and sunroof open when my batt. was disconnected. and i went to my friends house and saw it clouding up like it was about to rain lol. i finally figured it out a couple hours later but it would've been fine since he had a garage. but still very scary either way.

Wrong. "Depressed" is the same as "pressed". You can't say that the button is "pressed" because that sounds stupid, so you say the button is depressed. If the lock button is depressed then the lock is engaged.

depress
–verb (used with object)
4. to put into a lower position: to depress the muzzle of a gun.
5. to press down.

Uh...don't think so. Then again it is 7 and I have only had one cup of coffee. But wouldn't to unthaw and to freeze mean the same thing??? I don't know, just throwing that out there this morning???
