Hatch Garnish + 3rd brake light are loose, and pop out everytime you open the trunk (well, the middle 2 screws do) and will need to be replaced. AND THEY SQUEEK LIKE CRAZY!!!!!

Pedestal spoiler- is loose, or at least i think it is. when you press down on it tilts, so the front 2 screws are prolly loose
lower grille-missing
side vent-missing
upper grille-paint shipping off the trim
front bumper- chipped-dunno what to call it...
exhaust shield- needs to be refitted
left side of the rear bumper- needs to be refitted
rear dome light-needs a new bulb
car itself-desperately need to be detailed
floor mat-is sitting in the garage
headliner- i thought i was one of the lucky ones... it rattles now
valve caps-someone stole them again
parking light LEDs-just went out
oh, and there is a GIANT scratch on the garnish

sounds like your tc needs alittle TLC.

don't worry, my tc has started to rattle too. seems to rattle more when it gets cold.

wait for spring to do some refreshening.

Sounds like neglect and bad installs to me...

I've had my tC for over 3 years now and all I have is a few rattles and a chipped front bumper.
Just because the Ped Spoiler is big like a park bench doesn't mean you can sit on it. :D

 

These are all things you can fix easily and quickly

 

Pedestal Spoiler, upper grille, bumpers, take it to a body shop, shouldn't be to much to fix.

Lower grille check out classified section and see if someone is selling it (turbo people usually take it out).

Side vent check out scionlife classified most likely people with the VRD foglights sell them, or the other option is to take out the other side vent and get VRD Fog Lights (not the ebay knock offs, they don't look to good)

No, its not neglect. The upper grille is chipping due to normal wear and tear. The lower grille used to have fog lights, until the opossum came along..... The hatch garnish and 3rd brake light have never even been touched. The pedestal spoiler was installed when I first got the car. The side vent is also from the opossum. The front bumper was when an old lady tapped it trying to park, and a evil parking lot (long story...) The exhaust shield had to be cut because the bumper had to be cut due to the length of the exhaust. And I was in a rush to install it, and wasn't paying attention. The rear bumper just needs to be re-aligned due to the tail light. (The tail light is a little off and needs to be re-adjusted) The rear dome light just decided not to work, and it most likely just needs a new bulb. The car just needs a good wash. It's been about 1 month since it was waxed and clay bared. And do to the sudden weather changes here, it's been difficult to find a day to wash it. The floor mat is just sitting in the garage, because something spilled on it. The headliner is just a usual rattle.... (Damn!! I really hoped it wouldn't rattle!!!) Valve caps.... What can you do? The LEDs for the parking lights are just out. The scratch on the garnish can come off, it's very light.

I don't need a body shop for the spoiler, grille, or bumper. Everything already has a replacement part, that I am going to give to my brother or Christmas and his 18th birthday which is just 4 days after. List of replacement parts:

RS1 FULL lip kit (The rear lip will be cut to fit the exhaust)

lucky for you!!! lol. the bumper really just couldnt be helped. (read my other post) and the LEDs i got are just cheapos

 

lol. its not being neglected, it was washed on sunday. but because of the fog and light rain, its all dirty again.

The problem I have is the center console, has warped. I'm guess its because of the heat/humidity here in miami. =(

 

Problems, problems, problems. All of my tC problems have to do with poor fitment. I think that seems to be true for most people. I currently have at least 4 different rattles on my fix-it list, but I just don't have time to fix it. What do you expect when you buy a cheap car?

Yes. Most of the problems we have can be fixed with small, cheap Home Depot parts. A bit of tape here, some foam there, some superglue, and voila, problems solved.
