Doesn't that sound like a different kind of problem ...anyway...hehe...the little plastic piece that keeps the shifter stiff and in place, is broken. I went to the dealership today before work/during work, and I waited for 2 hours. (I was there cuz the car was acting wierd and I was gettin it checked out, mine as well use the warranty right?...hehe) anyway, he came in and told me that the things I thought was wrong weren't

I said there was brake noise, he didn't hear any.
I said there was burning smell coming from vent, he said there wasn't.
I said the car was jerking while in first and second, he said it didn't.

Basically, I was voted off the island...anyway...I hope he's right. But whatever...back to the subject at hand.

He then goes, but I did find something wrong, so I look at him quizzically...like ...what...and he goes...your shifter is broken. I'm like how did that happen. But then I realize, my shifter on the car has been broken since I bought it. He said that the reason my shifter is so loose is because the piece was broken. I was like... you mean I'm sposed to have tight shifts...so I was kinda ____ed off, cuz I drove my friends car (he just got a tC) and I was like your shifter is nice and solid, mine is loose, and since I've had the car for a while, I forgot if mine was like his, so I passed it off as nothing at the time. Now I've found out that it was busted all long...which sucks....but luckily I'm gettin it fixed soon....

there was a TSB for loose shifters. ask them about it.

well it was broken, so I think that he doesn't need to worry about any tsbs, he knows the problem.
