Default my tc in canada.wow!!!

i drove up to canada yesterday.of course the tc was washed and waxed for the trip.little did i know that there were no tc's in canada,i parked her on the street.and i couldnt believe how many cars stopped to look and take pictures.i almost turned the alarm on a couple of kids in a honda civic because they were there droolin for a long time.it was then i realized exactly how proud i was to have her.i had to take a picture of her with the canadian flag blowing across the street to always remind me of that day.anyone else have an experience like this?

Remember our glass roofs are not Canada's Highway Safety approved. That's why Scion isn't sold up there.

I'm huge VW Beetle fan and I have book with a new Beetle concept of the Bug having full glass roof. Book claimed the idea from VW got cut due to safety issues.

I'm thinking its caused by Canada.

Well you would have company, I just got my 2007 tC a few weeks back and I live in Toronto. I have seen many xB's but not one tC yet.

i dont think they had srt-4's or evo vii's due to the FMIC issue. Really strict emissions laws.

According to the research I had done, the 05 and 06 tC's were not allowed due to the front bumper not passing crash testing and the 08's are not allowed because the tC's are not equipped with immobilizers. After a September 2007, all cars must have immobilizers. So currently, only the 2007s are admissable to be imported or sold in Canada.

wtf? the tC has a 4 out of 5 in every crash test catagory. and all tC's except for the tC spec have engine immobilizers. that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. unless that crash test dealie has to do with pedestrian safety like cars sold in europe do.

Not sure how I will get it registered. I am originally a Canadian citizen that move to the USA. Family moved and I was too young to stay behind. So I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Sorry for the late reply. I was out with friends relaxing. Trying to figure out how to pay my bills since no one wants to hire even though they say they are hiring. Hahahha... The economy is messed. Good ole Florida. Hahaha... Love the state hate some of the laws.

i've seen a couple tc's up here now the 2007 models onward made the list of allowable vehicles in canada. there's still quite a markup on the used car market, about $20k for an 07. us canadian xbs have our fair share of stares too

I live in detroit and drive over to Windsor from time to time and I get the same thing.

Funny how they can have Skylines but not tC's.
