MY WRX STI story (this guy was an idiot)

rich parents need to at least knock SOME sense into their kids before buying them a car like this.
I have a similar story.
me and my buddies were cruising downtown on the weekend when we see a bunch of idiots in a late model mustang, mid 90s i think. they have been reving their engine every chance they could get. i guess they were looking for a race but you cant get a good race downtown, too many cops and not enough room.
anyways, we stop at a red light and they continue to rev their engine up to the rev limiter, and when the light turns green, we heard them pop it into gear and the next thing you hear is a pop and the engine dying.
all we could do was laugh at them and what sucked even more is that we could hear other people in other cars laughing at them.
we came back to the same intersection about 15 minutes later and they were still there, sitting on top of the hood. we made sure that they could hear us laughing as we drove by.

I used to be in an air cooled VW club in So-Cal. We went to a cruise night in La-Habra at a El Pollo Loco. Across the street was where some V8 clubs were hanging out. After a bit one of the Mustangs comes over just to do a posi burnout through our parking lot. Gabe (forget his last name) who had multiple cars featured in VW magazines chuckles and heads over to their parking lot and proceeded to wheel stand through their parking lot. They quit coming over for burn-outs.
Yes, the Preludes look nice, and what a dumb **** to show off a ruin a nice car in that manner.
He deserved it.
EDIT: Oh, and I would of given the lady the finger right back to her, and would of told her to grow up.

Every brand has it's idiot. It's always the guys who don't have it that show it. Just like the people with the way oversized trucks-it's a size issue right?
Maybe his STI is fast and cool-but he isn't without the car and he knows it.

Awesome story man. That seems to be the story with a majority if the STI's and EVO's guys not knowing what the hell they are doing hot rodding them and destroying a beautiful machine. I've seen more mistreated soon to be broken down evo's and sti's than I have respected and taken care of machines like they should be.
that sux for the sti, i always loved stis but never had the cash to get one.
i would have thrown a glass starbux bottle at his sti, if he wanted to start some **** i would have thrown down. i aint scared.
