So about 2 months ago i start hearing a "crack" sound when shifting gears a little harder than normal. Then a week after that i start hearing whats sounds like valve tapping. Its coming from either under the car or the engine compartment. So i asked u guys and i took ur advice an went to the dealer.

That did jack ****. There answer for everything was oh thats normal, or we could not simulate the sound, not to mention it was raining heavy that day. So iam trying to figure out what exactly is causing this. The "crack" sound is definitly from the bottom of the car. Only when i ____ a little harder than normal. And it never happened b4 so it should'nt be happeneing now. As for the tapping, i cant really figure out where its coming from. It sounds like the engine compartment one day and then the next like from under the car.

Has anyone experienced anything similar in anyway? If so, what was it, and how did you fix it.

 

You really have to drive around with the service manager and try to make the sound again.

 

The clicking sound only happens when iam on the parkway doing like 80 and i take it past 3.5 RPM. And the cracking noise is when i shift a little harder than normal... His defense is going to be.... "well you can't shift that hard" .

 

How do you expect the dealership to help you with that?!?!?!?
