Need help to conveice my parents.
Why should your parents buy you a car? They've already spent ridiculous amounts of money on raising you, and it sounds like they'll soon be spending a lot more money on sending you to college.
Want a car? Quit your whining, work more hours, and buy one for yourself. Word of advice: get a cheap used one as your first car -- it's a lot more realistic, you won't be as ____ed when you have that inevitable first accident, and insurance will be a lot cheaper too.
While you're saving up the money, get yourself a bicycle so you're not constantly relying on rides.
Whatever, just don't expect other people, including your parents, to do it for you. Learn to rely on yourself.

I will start by saying I understand how you feel, but I still don't believe you deserve a tC. I wanted my parents to buy me a car when I was your age, but not a brand new 17K sports coupe. I don't care how good a driver you think you are, you're not ready for this car. Browse through the many pictures of mangled tC's posted here. It sounds like you don't get much practice driving either. And speaking from experience, it would be very difficult for you to drive responsibly in this car. Frankly, I almost feel insulted that you expect your parents to just hand it over to you just because you can pay for your gas and maybe some of your insurance, which could be as much as the car payment (that you want your parents to pay) given your age and experience. If you don't pay for it, you won't appreciate it like those of us who work more than one day a week. Furthermore, I'm sure you think that saying your parents are using you as their training model to learn how to be good parents helps your argument, but it really only makes you look like what you really are, a spoiled teenage boy. The tC is a privilege, a privilege that I and many others have EARNED, but you have not.

Look, if you failed your road test twice already and have been failing at school, you don't deserve anything new. You've got to be realistic. All right? Cool.

Buy it your damn self. I was lucky enough to get a hand-me-down 96 corolla to drive around in for 5 years. I'm paying for my tC by myself with the money that I worked for. You want a car, should've saved up some money over the summer and gotten a used car for cheap.
Don't give me that 'rents won't let me work crap.

have a car it would have been a done deal. Your young and your going to have
to start with something used. Getting your parent's to pay for a brand new car
-- well -- doesn't sound like that's ever gonna happen -- as far as going back
to school -- I went to school all day and then came home to change into my
work uniform and then work all night -- full time -- road a bike or walked to and
from before I could buy my first $100.00 beater and I was 17 too. Stop whinning
-- bust your butt -- save your money and show your parent's good grade's. Hell
I wouldn't want to buy you a new vehicle either -- now enough said -- time to go

First of all why are so many of you calling him spoiled? How is a child that doesn't have a Car period, couldn't go to his friends house when he was 10 spoiled??? You guys are very hypocritical. So now all kids with or without tC's are spoiled??
Anyhow, dude who wants a tC: Your parent's sound unreasonable. So if your parents won't even let you drive period, then don't try convincing them to buy you a new car. If anything try to convince them to buy a POS and use that. I think you've set your sights too high.

Buy it yourself! You will appreciate it and take better care of it than if your parents just hand over the keys to you.
My tC is the 4th car I've owned since I was 16 (23 now) and I have paid for every single one of them, every insurance bill, every mechanic bill, etc. Let me tell you I take a lot better care of my cars than my brother. He basically beat his first car to hell because he chose not to work, but somehow kept his car because my parents kept paying for it.
He ended up just not working and the parents kept subsidizing him and his car. He treated it like he deserved it, rather than a privilege to own a vehicle.
tC ownership is a privilege. Earn it yourself, don't expect the keys to just be handed over.
I would rather you get an old beater and learn to drive first than get a beautiful tC and wreck it.
The 11th commandment: Thou shalt not buy a tC if you cannot pass driver's education.

Expecting a tC isn't all that unreasonable around where I live.
Expecting an SLK is unreasonable.
Expecting an SLK and getting one is unreasonable.
Expecting an SLK, crashing it, and getting a new one is unreasonable.
I'm a little jealous, yea. But if you fail school and driving tests - you haven't warranted a reason to be rewarded with a new car. Since this is the case, either save up for a 200 dollar car and call up MTV for some West Coast Customs lov'n or just wait until you can afford one.
