Need Your Help! Cracking noise
Ever since i got lowering springs, i noticed cracking noises coming from the roof of my car each time i would drive through dips, over bumps. drive ways. I think its the body chasis flexing. What could be the problem? Installation of the springs are wrong? Maybe the bolts are not tight enough? What can i do to fix it? I feel like my car is going to fall apart. Im noticing that its getting worse. Is this a major problem? Can it eventually ruin my car? Please help. I would really appreciate it.
lower car, stiffer ride, gonna make more creaks and rattles.did a shop do the install or done at home.double check the bolts to be sure theya re at correct torque and other than that it is normal,I have taken my interior out of my car so many times that every piece of it now creaks...lol
Just like BZinn1 said. Its due to your ride being stiffer. Your car now wants to flex in places it can't. Just grease up wherever you here some squeaking and that shud get rid of most of it.
i'm not sure if this helps at all, i dont know where you live, but my tc does that in the extreme cold. it's a loud noise in the windsheild area. i understand not everywhere gets as cold as wisconsin
I have the same problem. Been dropped for a couple years now on s-techs. When I pull into a driveway, or turn into a parking lot etc... I get a creeking noise coming from my sun roof. Nothing crazy, just the car not having the suspension to compensate for the dip.
