Default Never rely on "friends"

My friend says this car wash next to his house is the best in the valley. I am one not to take cars but to do them myself usually, but today was a beatiful day so i decided i needed a rest.

took it to the wash and now i have Orange scratches all over my car, they seem to be light though and the 2nd thing is the car wash did such a ____ty job!

mmm obviously its not your friends fault, its the car wash's fault. take your car and show it to the manager with your reciept...and demand they buff or pay to get those scratches buffed out.

Never go to automated car washes. Hand wash only.

yea definitely hand wash it...

but because the damage is done first take it back because they should fix it for you...

and if that doesnt work buy some polishing compound and buff it with a rag until the scratches go away. You have any pics of the scratches?? If you were in jersey I could get them out for you..

Unless it's touchless... yes, i know it doesn't get as clean as a hand wash, but it's pretty cheap (around $5), gets your car cleaner than not, and the only way your car will get scratched is if you drive it into the wall.

Good for when you don't have enough time.

5 dollars for a car wash seems like a rip off when you can soap and wax for near 15 and have that last many many washes, plus you will be treating your car much better than a stranger would.

since i live in an apartment, and the little car wash set up area sucks and half the time isnt turned on, i take my tc to a gas station car wash, its only 6 dollars for the "highest" quality wash, and it isnt touch less, but i found that it cleans the crap out of it, it even COMPLETELY cleans every spec of brake dust on the rims, i have taken it there many times and never had one problem. but in about a month i am getting a house so i will do it myself after that.

you're really never going to get a good wash from those guys. They're just kids who's job it is to spit cars out as quickly as possible. They don't care about your car and don't use good products.

If you want someone to wash your car well, be prepared to shell out $35-$70 to have a competent detailer do it. And that's competent, not the random kid with a rotary, wool pad, and rubbing compound.

were you replying to me? cause i was referring to your car being treated by a machine (touchless at that)

oh, and it's only a dollar or two more for wax, at least from what/where i'm talking about (chevron car wash)
