Default new 2007 (06) tC improvements? engine

i just picked up a rental car at the dealer and it was an 07 tC... i notice alot of new crap that they shouldve done for 05's......

fatter sunvisors, stereo headunit design, AUX input, steering wheel remote, etc.

but one thing that stood out the most is the engine bay; there are more pipe lines running around manifold and that bottom right side of the engine is designed different (possibly much bigger?), not only that but it seems like they added another engine mounting bracket at the front! can anyone clarify whats new and what it is?

there alot of new pip lines running through the engine now, which i think makes the engine bay slightly cluttered, not empty with too much space, but the new stuff around fills up those spaces....

Hey,

I work at a dealer and they said that there is nothing different with the 2006 to the 2007 except the keys have a different shape and the 2007s are 100 dollars cheaper. They could be lying to me as I was mad that the 07s came out one week after I bought my 06 and they just didnt mention it to me, but et me know what you find otu!

Does the 06 have the power lock buttons on the key? If not, you lose!

Someone should post pics of the 07 key - I know it's nerding out, but I'd like to see what it looks like.

Sunvisors are theo nly thing that's new in '07

Everything else was changed/added in the '06 models.

Not sure what you're talking about with the engine bay, though.

In real life, they are a little bit of a darker gray and the scion logo has a chromish look to it

I thought the 07 had a different intake manifod...but you could SEARCH for it. This has been covered many times when the 07's first came out.

They had to change the keys because the 05/06 ones warp.

Oh Man! I'm really glad I have the 05 key... makes me feel better about having the 05 visors and (until I swapped it out) the 05 head unit. On the old Key, the buttons aren't seperate and the look is much cleaner. I don't have a pic up but I'm sure someone does.

I'm the opposite. I think the black pad looks tacky and cheap where as the 07 is a cleaner design. But hey, who cares, we each have our opinions and we are both happy with our keys. But of course everyone knows that BSP is better looking than FM (jk)

I'll take a FM over a BSP.

As for the keys, the 06 looks better, the 07 looks like a cheap crack *****. Except the 07 looks a bit more durable, the pad on the 06 looks like it might poke a hole overtime.

But I guess just like in real life, a crack ***** would probably beat down a model.
