New to the fourms and need some help.
Hi, First off, Im new to the fourms. I recently (2 weeks ago) got an 05 TC. I previously had a 94 celica and have been apart of www.6gc.net for those who came from there.
I just put on Eibach sportline springs, Koni yellow adjustable shocks, hitochkis front and rear sway bars, and a front DC strut tower bar.
Everything is great, except for when i come to a complete stop idle, I get this little high passed tapping. I don't hear it when I'm driving above 10 mph, or when Im sitting still and rev the engine above 2k rpm. Im assuming its a plastic part in the engine bay hitting the DC strut bar.
Has any one run into this? Any suggestions before i spend the time to search it out.

i havent heard of the engine cover hitting the strut bar issues before... i have the greddy one and its fairly close, but not enough to hit it.. maybe check the bolts on the strut so they are tight?
hey man whats up i came from 6gc.net my sn was celiman5 and i also had a 94' celica but it was a black st coupe yeah i got myself the '08 fm tc. but anyways have you tried opening the hood and seeing if you can hear the tapping while it idles or is it just when you come to a stop?

An yeah, I feel dumb, I finished working on the car at 1:30am last night and didnt feel like messing with it, and posted at work this morning,
It was the plastic plug for the air sensor tapping on the strut bar.. I figured it was something simple like that.

what up dingdoug I also came from 6gc. SN macavely.. i still have my celi..
as for you question it could a few things .. intake if you have a CAI .. sway bar busing are not right.. strut tower is not tq down to spec..
