-high insurance

anymore pros and cons?
i personally just best quality that 20k can buy. as long as car feels good and quality is there, speed is not a big deal for me
i paid exactly 19,995 OTD. only add on was the pedestal spoiler
yep, around that mpg
if ur gonna get a tC, dont get the spec. not worth it for not a BIG difference in the price
i previously had a sentra se-R and i do miss the speed compared to the tC. so yea, the car is slow. but i still love my BCP tC :D
insurance isnt that high, well i dont think. i pay $216 a month. but keep in mind that i am 19 with a new car

overall, if you are not looking for speed, then the tC would be a good choice. thats the only con i have with this car

well, it's a little unfair to put the gti on that list..... but being that this is a Scion forum, obviously tC.....
but I'm going with Mazda 3.......... or better MAzdaspeed 3! But I expect to be a loner on that 1.

why wouldn't gti be unfair in the list? they are about the same price, gti being 21k and tc being 18k

you know what I test drove the mazdaspeed 3 and it was great. so you aren't a loner on that one.

STAY AWAY FROM MAZDA! Any company that is associated with FORD you should stay way from. I too looked at the M3 and WAS NOT impressed. The color I wanted only came with certain 'option packages'. WTF? With the tC, you can choose the color you want and get the same options. Around my town the only people who drive M3s are chubby girls who smoke.

1. I paid a little over 18K for my AT. It will be cheaper if you get a MT. The only 'options' I got were the 2in1 mats, Rear Lip Spoiler, and Scion Security. (Don't get the Scion Security!) The only 'options' I suggest you get are the Ground Effects, Air Bags (a little pricey, but it's your life), TRD Springs, and either Spoiler. On Scion.com they state that installation will be extra but I wasn't charge. As stated earlier; trdsparks.com is the place to get your acessories. That's where I got mine from and Ken is great to do business with!

2. For the $$$; the tC can't be beat. I like it when I get compliments and people think I have a more expensive car. I would do it again. (Although the new FJ Crusiers are out now and it would be a hard choice between the 2. )

3. 30? Maybe the xA or xB, but the tC would get 30 on the hwy only. What people have stated sounds about right. (26-28 mpg)

4. I heard Longo is a good place. You might have to drive around a bit because the tC is a hard car to keep on the lot.

5. As stated earlier, "The only 'options' I suggest you get are the Ground Effects, Air Bags (a little pricey, but it's your life), TRD Springs, and either Spoiler."

Good luck on your hunt! Let us know the outcome.

my opinion:
Mazda 3: looks good but i don't like mazdas so blah
Miata two seater not that practical, at least for me
Gti: let's just say I have never been in good terms with VW
tC i just my sunroof and 2 doors and as for the rattles just turn up the radio drop your windows open your sunroof and enjoy the car.

About the rattle actually I don't care about it i just ignore it only here there are people who are very picky and drown in a glass of water about the rattles. I've had the car since they came out in 04 as 05 model and i just ignore the small rattle. Of course there are some rattles that you go like WTF is going on but just go test drive one and you may hear the rattle or not it's not that big of a deal.
