Default New user Q... TRD sport muffler sound?

I have always been a loyal nissan owner and planned on buying a new Sentra SE-R...
until I saw a tC on the road. It was an easy decision after that.
I should be getting mine on Saturday Feb. 26.
Options I am ordering: AEM air intake
sport muffler
Hotchkis front strut tie bar
Security system
How does the TRD axle-back sport muffler sound on this vehicle? Is this the one with the valved muffler or is that the stock one that they're talking about. Unfortunately the dealership didn't have one there w/ it installed so that I could hear what it sounds like.
I'm just trying to get a nice smooth sound without the obnoxious rice sound, ya know?

Hey! Im came from a nissan background too (350z) let me tell you I WILL NEVER own other nissan again. They're junk. I just ordered a tC w/ a lot of options and one of them is the TRD exhaust. It sounds so NICE! They're websites that can save you hundreds. If your interested installing it yourself.

And heres some great clips of the TRD exhaust!

Thanks for the links. Awesome sound! Just what I was looking for.
I also own a '93 240sx that I will be selling soon. I thoroughly enjoyed driving this car for as long as I've owned it. I think the only things I will miss are the heads-up display and definitely the RWD. But then again, the tC has so much to make up for that.
Just out of curiosity, what specifically did you dislike about the 350Z? I've never heard a bad review before and personally I think it's a beautiful car.

It is a beautiful car and it has a lot of torque. There has been a lot of problem w/ the 350z's. Mainly in the 03's.

The problems were:
-Tire feathering issue-03's- maybe even 05's
-Window motors burning out within a year
-Window Grease Problem
-Stock system really blows ***** even if u had the Bose setup

what really ____es me off is that no mod except for force induction can make that car faster. But I giving up the speed. I just needed 4 seats.

gLuck on getting your hands on a tC. Mines should be here in 2 weeks.

the nismo exhaust on a se-r is really nice.

TRD exhaust sounds good. I had to listen to it first to make my decision. I also like that the whole thing is stainless and you can see it from the back of the car. It is not intrusive and doesn’t sound like a tin can. Good luck with the car, you will love it.

It doesnt sound ricey at all, in fact its got a little growl to it. hehe, I have an auto and the TRD exhaust on my tC. I think it sounds damn nice. If I head over to my moms house today, I'll pick up the camcorder and record a clip for you and everyone to hear.

You pretty much get the same sounds. It will just be a constant grow and u can still hear the gears changing.

Does anyone know how the trd exhaust sounds on an auto TC. I would like to add alittle sound to my car , but I don't want it to sound like annoying loud ricers.

how did italian cars get into this discussion about the TRD exhaust? lol...

Well, i bought mine b/c it def. sounds better than the stock exhaust and is covered with the same warrantee plus the TRD warrantee.

Sounds good to me, i've heard crap exhaust on other cars... my brother had a 98 GSR that sounded good up close but like a fart-can going down the road.
From what i've heard and what my buddies have told me, they like the sound of this exhaust.
And like said earlier, the Stainless is a nice look plus its gonna last much longer than the factory exhaust.

can't compare a tC's exhaust to v10's and v12's... this is just a 4 banger that sounds just how its supposed to... like a sport compact car!

If you're dreamin of a lambo or ferrari sound, start savin your money...
I'm happy with the TRD exhaust.
