1. answered above
2. warranty is ok, unless proven a non-oem mod caused a problem (as noted above) *
3. probably that long b/c you might be getting a 2006 opposed to an 05.

* There are obviously plenty of accessories / mods that you can get right from the factory or TRD if you like. The dealer will even install them if you want them to. If you have the dealer install them, they will be warratied right along with your car.

the tc windows are all "tinted" slightly w/o any kind of aftermarket tint. you can see the light/UV levels here: http://home.cfl.rr.com/icdedppl/faq.html#d2

I really want to know who made this list of FAQS. Not a serious debate but I would like to know where he/she got the info.
Does anyone know current vehicles which have the new tC colors?

i made the site of course. it says at the top "the scion tC faq site by icdedppl".......

all the information is gathered from this site and from other scion tc sites/faqs and from scion documentation/manuals/references.

and to answer your question, let me introduce you to google.

for the nautical blue color (8S6): http://images.google.com/images?q=8S6+toyota&hl=en

and for the silver metallic (1F7): http://images.google.com/images?q=1F7+toyota&hl=en

Thanks smart ___.
Since you made the FAQ site where did you get the data specifically for the window UV protection?
It seems you think I was criticizing your page. I wasn't but now I might have serious doubts to some of the info contained therein. If you cannot answer a simple question without feeling someone is making a personal attack towards you, then you may have an insecurity issue.

hahaha. no, i know you weren't criticizing it. like you said, i was just being a smart ___. and like i said, most of the info was gathered from docs provided from scion/toyota. some of the 2006 scion info is provided from the dealers that post on this site, but so far, they have proven to be reliable, so i decided to post it.

that "tint" information is supplied in a pdf doc from scion called "new car features" that is for the tC. it's also listed here in the faq on this forum: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35024 (all i did was make a nice little table to help you read it more clearly).

also, if you read my faq site, i ask for people to find mistakes in the site. it's not meant to be me just guessing at what i think the answers are. if you have a descrpency regarding one of the questions, you need simply pm me what it is you think is wrong/incorrect and i will humbly/gladly change it. the last thing i want is to have a faq/information site that isn't as close to being !00% accurate as possible...

I have read that faq on the tC as you listed. I just want something from Scion/Toyota about the tint having UV protection.
Living in socal you see people driving around with single arm covers. These are mostly older asian females. The reason they do this is so one arm will not tan from the sun exposure while driving. Now I am not an older asian female but I do worry about the ill effects of sun exposure. So, if something from Scion/Toyota says that the tint is UV then I will be extra happy about my tC. Thats all.

p.s.
Do you have those people with the arm sleeves in FL too?

^^

haha, you think that we would, but i don't know anyone that uses arm covers here. i'm sure there are some people that do considering it's the sunshine state!

and trust me, there is an official doc from scion/toyota with that UV/"tint" info in it. if you want to see for yourself, you can go pay $10 @ http://techinfo.toyota.com/ and you can download *all* the docs (http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com...20TC&year=2005) in electronic format. what you're looking for is the "new car features guide" and find page MO-11 which is in the model outline section and discusses equipment like the sliding roof, glass (tint info is there), a/c system and audio system.

they're not "tinted" per se, but most automotive glass these days is UV protected--tempered and milled so it allows only the light to pass through--kind of like those clear "sunglasses" that have a slight fade mirror finish on them. the only part that is "tinted" would be the panoramic moonroof.

yeah, that's exactly why i put "tinted" in parenthesis. even the moonroof isn't "tinted" per se. it just lists the moonroof as "dark gray" colored glass which i assume let's through less light (25% visible light penetration). all the other windows are "green" colored and allows more light through them(~75% visible light penetration).
