Default Nice little F'in story

So...
When i was installing my grill last month...i had a buddy over to help me with it and putting back on the plastic undercarriage thingy...since i left my car on the ground for this. That turned out to be a big mistake. Now, i'm not really blaming my friend for this, it just sucks and i should've double checked his side. I was coming home from work last night and all of a sudden i hear this loud scraping noise. I pulled over to find that that plastic piece on the passenger side had just about came off completely and was now dragging under my car and the part on the wheel well was rubbing my tires. Needless to say, got out the tool kit and busted the rest of it off except the wheel well part because that wraps around the complete wheel...i took a good strong pair of scissors to that. Anyway, does anybody know how much the dealer is gonna charge (calling all dealers) for this piece...has anybody here ever had to get this be4? To me this seems like a freak accident type thing because i have never heard of this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

well, luckily since it was caused by a mistake made by my dealership installing a cai, it was covered for me at no cost. it was expensive too!

the piece parially came off got caught in the wind, put several dents right between the fender and the door, and then got caught under the tire and torn off while flexing the fender even more. not pretty. so i needed a new inner fender and some body work. totally sucked, glad it was fixed for free.
