NO MORE SCION
I am tradingin my scion for a 2001 grand am gt 2dr red. There giving me 19k for my scion=) After the recent loss (today) of my 96 ga (modded). I felt soo bummed and decided to go back to the grand am style. Its cheaper and easier for me. The 5sp is just. fun/annoying. and i do a lot of highway driving so the grand am is a lot better for that. I loved my scion but i want cheaper payments right now..

Please tell me this is an April Fool's joke...my dad had a Firebird and it was nothing but problems with him....And speaking of my dad he wants to borrow my xB to drive to Texas because it gets better gas mileage then his stang.....debate debate.

I will give the grand am some credit. I know two people that drive them, one of which is my girlfriend (which means I do all the maintenance and repair on it). They are just common everyday cars, nothing spectacular. The V6 has been notorious for bad factory intake gaskets, which I did replace on hers. It is definitely not a super large job to replace if you have the tools and place to work, but not the most fun. I had to replace hers after 5 years. Other than that, it has been a decent car for her. But I definitely in no way would trade my tC for one!!!!!!

I used to have a '99 Grand Am GT V6, they are nice cars and and I had a lot of fun in that car (right up until I wrapped it around a pole). After owning my tC though, I must say the Grand Am fell short in a lot of areas. For instance, with 2 less cylinders and 15 less HP, the tC outperforms the Grand Am on so many levels. The interior of the Grand Am I felt was very cheap, a friend of mine broke one of the front seat-belt guides getting into the back seat. I was a fun car but it could've been so much more. Aftermarket support just isn't there either.
My advice.....keep the tC, you'll regret it.
