Noise coming from driver side wheel
I have a 2006 tC and am getting a grinding noise from my drivers side and when turning right I am getting a popping noise and can kind of feel it. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? I replaced the wheel bearing on the drivers side about 4-5 months ago along with new pads/rotors. I was thinking a possible bearing again or maybe a cv joint but not really sure.
I did that and thought it may be the heatshield so I checked that out but that wasn't it. I spun the wheel around and I really didn't hear anything. It's weird, one day I won't hear anything at all, others it will be all day. It's been happening around a week or so and I cannot put a finger on what it is. It is only when turning right the grinding and the popping noise are there. The popping just started today
what about checking the dust shield behind the brake rotor/disc? That can cause the same noise. Just grab it and gently push it back away from the rotor/disc. Also the rest I agree with bbsciontc! Check the axles as well.
