Default Noob question about C.E.L. please help!!!

I installed a new Fujita cold air intake on my tc. Now the check engine light keeps coming
on every few miles. I've disconnected the battery three times now and it still comes on. Also I have to turn the key twice to start the engine now when it starts cold. Any ideas?

the MAF sensor got damaged, or it's placement is wrong for your car.

Is everything secured properly? Are all of the hoses conneted properly after the install? It IS the correct intake for your year, correct?

After reconnecting the battery, you let it idle for 10 minutes, then take it easy for the first bunch of miles. You've done this, right?

I have a feeling it is an 06 intake and he has an 07 tC. I have seen this before on here, or it is the ebay crap that is just a universal intake.

i also have a feeling that the air/fuel mix might be too lean and it keeps causing the light to go off, everything works fine now except the light comes on no matter how many times i disconnect the battery

What brand intake?
I really think the intake is not correct for your car. they may have sent a 05-06 but marked it for the 07.
An intake won't throw off the AFR.

Yeah what I forgot to do was let the car idle about 15 minutes just after installing and disconnecting the ECU. Make sure the MAF sensor is also mounted flush to the piping. Mine works fine now.

you could try the anti-fouler method or just get a little piece of black electrical tape and cover the light...
