Now I remember why I got a TC
As I was driving back from my lunch break, I began to slow down to turn left onto one of the streets that leads to my work. As I start slowing down, a lady in a minivan is on the opposite side of the road heading in the opposite direction. A split second later a guy in a Ford Explorer runs through his stop sign and plows through her (sending her spinning around). As my jaw drops from witnessing the accident, I see the Explorer gun it and take off for a good escape rout through one of the close-by neighborhoods. In a split second (all out of instinct) I floor my 160 horsepower TC and chase after this SOB in an attempt to get his plate number. I caught up with him in no time, wrote down his plates, then turned around to check on the lady in the minivan. She was fine. Just a bit shaken up. I gave the cops the plate number. I'm just glad I have a fast car that can react to my instincts. I don't think my previous vehicle (94 Ranger) would have been able to catch up with this creep. And so I have another reason why I love my new car. :D
As for the guy in the Explorer . . . . Gotcha beeeotch

haha, go tC!!!! add a supercharger and couple more mods to it, and you'll catch him about 2 seconds earlier haha. i can't believe the guy try to run away from that... that's ridicoulous. you should've chased after him, get right next to his side and yell "hey, i got your license plate number!" and then see what he would do.
I hope that jerk realizes that a hit and run is a felony. I mean, unless the car was stolen, it is inevitable that they will be caught. With the plate numbers being correct, all the cops need to do is go to this persons address. Then they can look at the front bumper and find traces of gold paint from the minivan. I took a forensic photography class in college, and my investigative training kicked in when I returned to the scene of the accident. This guy in the Explorer is totally screwed. There's a mountain of evidence stacked against him.
Hey man, good job on that rescue... but what if while you caught up to him and wrote down his plates...he wrote down YOUR plates and when he has the chance....
haha not to scare you or anything but you never know man. Good job though on helping someone out!!!

See before I had the chance to get my tC, my family and grandmother were going to give me an old Dodge Ram truck to sell so we had enough to make a good down payment on the car. Not even a couple of hours that we had the truck at my parents house (around 2 a.m. in Vegas) my Mom wakes me up in tears. She showed me that someone had hit my grandfather's truck (my grandfather who passed away about 4 years ago.) So we all go look at the damage and see white scrapes and a missing Ford T-bird rim on the red dodge. My Dad saw a car that looked similar and wanted to give me an idea what it looked like (I already had an idea.) As we were driving through the neigborhood, we saw someone's house that had the garage partly open with a white T-bird in it
. So we got out and looked and we saw damage to the car on the front right side of it. By then, we knew that this house was our prime suspect.
Now one cop was already here taking down a report and we only had 24hr's to find out who did it (but it took less than an hour.) The cop left for awhile but we called him back telling him where the house was (which was a few houses down the street.) The lady that did it denied it up and down ( I wasn't there for this) but she was clearly guilty. Her b/f was there but he wanted no part in this (smart man.) So that's how God turned a few hundred dollar truck to a few thousand dollars in insurance claims. And hence, that is how we now have our N/B tC
