Actually, the console was designed to stand either vertically or horizontally. It doesn't make a difference as long as you don't move the console from one position to another while it's on. You'll scratch the disc that way.

True. I left mine horizontal and so did my friends, and we all got the ring. So it doesnt matter which way you stand the thing. I had a bad GPU, my buddy's overheated, and my other bro had his motherboard blow. So it doesnt matter. Seems to be a bad first batch of them since me and my friends all got ours the first day of release. Well now i have an Elite and it works great. I also have a three year complete coverage warranty on the elite incase it happens again. So if anyone needs 360 parts, i got them minus the GPU. later.

do u know how the cooling is working in the xbox360???
the fans on the back is blowing the air OUT... tell me.. where is the place where the xbox360 can get some air.. ON THE SIDE!!! but u guys keep it on sideways.. LOL.. dont u get it.? its so easy to understand...
