Since my other thread mostly asked how in the world to post pics of my baby on this forum, I'll use THIS one as the official "I'm new so come say hi" thread.

After doing this to my last car (not on purpose, I assure you):





I was in need of a new ride. Then I happened to come upon a practically brand new '07 black cherry pearl tC, with only 3,800 miles on it. Apparently some guy bought it and his wife was TICKED off because they had kids and she hated the lack of 4 doors. So, she made him get rid of it.

His loss = my B-E-A-U-tiful gain:











Purchased on Dec. 12 for a NICE bargain. According to kelly blue book, my car's value jumped up $2k the moment I signed the papers.

 

Cool Congrats!....BCP is kinda rare color NOT too many of that color...Why did u pick that color??...lol

that's a common color in So Cali.

I actually thought about getting that color but changed my mind because I was superstitious since my last 3 red shade colored cars were rear ended.

As you can see, going blue didn't help

 

I didn't necessarily pick the color.....it's just the coolest, most advanced car the dealer had on his lot.

See, I went to this leasing company to LEASE a car, since my financial situation had taken a big hit recently. Well, he found me a Civic exactly like the one I wrecked, but in Silver. However, the deal went very fast and I never even saw the car first (mistake). I asked two specific questions: "Has this car ever been wrecked?" To which he said "No, we aren't allowed to sell them if we get them with any kind of damage, we have to wholesale them." And I asked "If I refinance this thing in a year like you said, is it still a lease then or is it a purchase?" He replied "No, it's a purchase now, with your finances, you can't do a lease."

So I was mislead in thinking I was leasing AND THEN I took the car to my honda dealer for a 20,000 mile check and the tech told me it had been wrecked before. He even took me under the car to show me where a part was held on by a COAT HANGER.

So I was ticked off. Long story short, though, the dealer made things right by swapping my contract for the tC that I found on their lot.

It's weird....leave it to Scion to make a shade of red...or reddish that I actually like. I just love that the color is rare here and that it looks like a different color depending on the lighting and such. If I went to a Scion dealer and had my choice, I might have picked a BSP. But I am not hating the BCP at ALL. I love it actually.

As for mod plans....first comes stealth. The jammers and spray and plate covers....after that....I dunno. I'll probably do some under-hood tinkering....in addition to getting the brightest, most annoying headlights I can find installed for my "brights." That way, my lights will be 'normal' until you cut me off....then you get blinded. ;)

 

The other guy was right, it's not an Si. I hate driving a manual. What happened was I was driving down the freeway and some moron in a large pickup truck decided to literally run me out of my lane.

I drove defensively and tried to get away from him. And then I hit some dividers that I forgot were coming up fast and bounced from one guard rail to the other. Didn't hit anyone else though.

The only thing I got was a couple of bad scratches on my left forearm and a general banged up feeling for a couple of days. My left hand has a 'thing' where it's sore if I grab a certain size object in just a certain way, but other than that I'm fine.

how is BCP rare? thats the color i see the most of....

 

I just looked on the thread for colors where someone else called it rare.

Actually, around Dallas, the only BCP I've seen so far is mine. I've seen two silver and I think two black....no BCP's yet but mine.
