OMFG the 09 rolla looks almost identical to the tC

wow, if you just look at the FRONT of the car, from say the driver door forward, it looks exactly like the tC. Looks GREAT for the rolla.. but dammit.. why did they have to go and do that..
what do you guys think?

Eh, well due to the overwhelming negativity - I was making small talk. - I again, was _only_ talking specifically from the front door forward, in the side shot I linked too.. (front door, front quarter, slope of hood, dimensions of door height to window glass).
side note : I wasnt loosing sleep over anything lol. I am not replacing my s/c'd tc. Infact, once my group buy NST pulley gets here, I have the AEM FI/C setup to go get custom tuned, and be pushing a easy 250hp. LSD gets installed next week with my TRD clutch.. So am I worried about being beat by a XRS? nah, not even close - but maybe some of you IHE guys should be.
From the front (head on shot, not side shot) and rear angles, it sure does share its looks w/ the camry.
Anyways, thanks for all the opinions SL really has become kinda negative lately. Isnt there any normal conversation anymore?

I guess that when Toyota seen how popular the tC was that it was just logical to make designs similar to it. It looks nice and it will introduce a sportier look to the common grocery getter.

The Corolla looks more Camry like. I looked at the sticker for the XRS auto the dealer had and it was about $23,000. Only the XRS Corolla has the 2.4L along with the Matrix S and XRS. I would take the previous XRS Corolla over the new because of the VVTL-i 1.8L. The 2.4 I feel after third gear has given its all being a more torque low RPM engine.
