Been in Iraq for 6 months. Deffinetly dont make near what people think. I get a whopping $450 extra a month for being gone. And most of us have family at home, so the money is still spent.

And like someone said, we dont mod because we are deploying. we mod because we love cars, and we just happen to be in the military. I am not going to leave my car stock just because i will be gone for most of the year. I have a life to live and need to have fun. The fact that you can die is even better reason, have fun while you can.
