Paint code for RS1 Absolutely Red? *annoyed*
I've been wanting to get the pedestal spoiler since i bought the car a few weeks ago, but my dealer is telling me things that are frustrating me.
1) i cant get it in red. its not available in red. only the other regular colors
2) the only way i could get a red one hastle free is to have order the car with it, and have it come with one from the factory (as if finding a red one wasnt hard enough already!). ive already bought one, so this information is useless to me.
3) i can buy a regular color/unpainted one, and have it painted red, but, and i quote from the dealer "we dont know the paint code for Absolutely Red yet." AND they will probably end up charging me an arm and a leg to get it stripped/painted.
this really ____es me off, as that was something i expected to be on the car the day i took delivery, or MAYBE a few days later. i do not like the lines of the car without the spoiler, and the trunk just looks so bland and empty. it looks like im going to have to suck it up and have the dealer do it if i cant get one otherwise, but then that leaves me with the idiotic problem of them not knowing the paint code. i've seen all the other colors' codes on mcgeorgeparts.com, but no red.
so, anyone here know it?
and as a side question, if you have an RS1 with a spoiler, by what means did you get it, and how much was it?

Man, that sucks! My RS1 didn't have the spoiler on it when I bought it, and my dealer ordered it for me. It came in about a week later. They did NOT have to paint it, it came already painted.
As far as knowing how much it cost, I don't know. I was able to get the sales guy to throw it in for free.
Good luck with getting that taken care of.

couple of things....it's true you can only get the red spoiler from the Port and not after the sale......but you can buy a primered spoiler ( no color) and get it painted (we've done this for two people here) the paint code is 03P0 ........hope that helps

Yeah just wait till you have an issue with one of your seat covers . I have been waiting two months for a replacement and still havent heard or seen anything . My dealership says japan doesnt have any availible , Guess what I think japan needs to make some more . Yes I know these are limited production vehicles but come on , you make the spare parts just as limited . Sorry but I find that to alittle sad especially when the maker is toyota . your tellin me the people at toyota/Scion never expected the need for spare parts on these things? yeah right
dont mean to be rude......but that spoiler ruins the unique look of the car..........really horrible looking spoiler ....much rather get the lip spoiler with the ground effect or wait for a better lip spoiler.......if u ask me its a headache thats not worth getting and a lot of money for nothin unique.........
yup 3P0 is the color code. i ordered touch up paint from paintscratch.com using the 04 celica absolutely red color code that my friend gave me since they didnt have the RS1 tc color listed. matches perfectly.

anyway, comments have been helpful. but is the paint code three digits (3P0) or four (03P0)?
