Default Panic Button

Funny Story: After school I work at a grocery store for a few hours for some insurance $$$. Well, I always park in the very back row in the parking lot so my car can't "accidentally" be hit by a shopping cart. Keep in mind that there are no other cars EVER around in the back row, but one day when I walked out for a break, some moron parks right next to me! Out of all spaces, he has to park next to my car, while spaces right in front of the store are open. Soon, two little kids pop out of the car and put their hands all over my door to see in my windows. I couldn't believe it, so I whip out my key and press the panic button to scare the kids . I swear, they must have jumped 5 feet into the air and eventually their stupid father (I assume) pulled them away. I just can't believe it sometimes I feel like a magnet for morons, atleast my panic button came in handy (for once).

Yes, the panic button is on the key. That is such a good idea. I never thought of that. There's these two bastard kids that are always riding their bikes in my driveway, and everyday I have to go outside and yell at them. I can't wait to scare the shiit out of them.

Kids were kicking football (in American English, soccer), my viper alerted me! So I know they must have kicked the ball to my car that triggered the warning to my pager. I ran out and hit PANIC, and they did panic hahahah!

I did something similar. I was walking to my car and i disarmed it (aftermarket alarm). The car chirped right as she got next to it and she jumped.

i've used it a couple of times when people get too close. one time i used it to help me locate my car in a big parking lot, turns out the security patrol was right in front of my car when it went off. he was looking at it for a while, so, i hit the panic button again when he was too close to my car. i think he figured out i was messing with him after the second time i did it. man, that was a laugh

Yeah, the ol' panic button does come in handy. I've used mine on several occasions to get people away from my ride. I tell people my alarm is very vibration sensitive. Sad thing is, THEY believe me!! Also, I noticed that when I park far away and come back to my tC it is surrounded by fat SUVs! My tC is a Gas Guzzler magnet! Damn SUVs!

I have used my panic button just like most of you to get ppl away from my car. I also parked at the end of my friends building for parking and some nasty ford escort had to park right next to mine. grrr.

Yeah, what is it with people having to park next to you when
there are a dozen open spaces closer to the door? I park
far away, almost always under a big parking light or near the
cart corrals so there is one less side to worry about, and there
is always some SUV crammed up next to me with plenty of
spaces all around.

Some day I just want to walk up to people with a clip board
when they do that, and act like I'm taking a survey and ask
the seriously, WTF made you park here??
