man, the rear of the g35 is so similar its rediculous. i just stared at it for awhile, i really think that spoiler would look badass on the TC.

think someone could make a photoshop of that?

I don't see that much similarity.





The taillights are totally different shapes. The tC's trunklid also cuts it's own line down into the bumper where the G35's stops at the concave body line connecting the taillights. The G35's bumper also looks a lot flatter. Not to mention the totally different positioning of the license plate on the two. Just my .02

imo i think they look some what alike. i wanted the tc at first cause it reminded me of the g35, but i ended up with a XB. :D

actually it has some but very little similarity
the rear of the tc can be more compared with a maxima because they have similar tail lights and how the whole rear is almost design the same too

I'd have to say I agree after looking at the pics, though I honestly never noticed before.

I couldn't find any good pics, but the new Pontiac G6's tailights are so close to the tC's that I keep mistaking them (for a quick second)...

If someone has a pic of the rear of a G6 or knows of one on the internet, please post it....They look almost identical...

 

Also the Saturn Ion Coupe is semi similar as well, especially the rear tail lights.

 

I own a tC and a G35 6sp coupe. They are frequently parked next to each other. I can tell you there is little similarity between the two.

 

I heard that the tC lights could be compared to a tiburon instead. But besides that, isn't every new car (in or close to the same class) looking the same now a days?

 

the TC actually shares very few similatires to the tib. I own a tib. Andrews owns a tC. parked next to each other. the tail lights look kinda the same but just flipeed over and thats it.. i mean other than their both coupes.. and cars..

 

didnt Volvo already had the name xC? like the XC 90..... so they had to name it tC instead???

 

Everytime I see the rear end of a Saturn Ion, I immediately think it's a tC...then to my disapointment, it's only a Saturn

Yup, same here. The rear bumper and the lights look the same and since those two things are the most prominent features of cars from the rear, they look the same. And those rear lights seem popular with car design these days so alot of car manufacturers use them. It's the whole fad thing.

 

To the trained eye, yes, they are different. To someone who isn't a car enthusiast, they look similar. I have many friends who asked me about my G35..only to realize upclose, it's not a G35 from the badge.

 

Now if you only owned the G35.........instead of the tC
