The hand brake is 100% independent of the disc braking system.

What I find funniest is that you don't let your brother drive your car precisely because he handles a manual tranny better than you
Lemme tell ya about those turn signal thingies - when I lived in Texas nobody in that part of the state used signals, and if you DID see a turn signal blinking on a new car, you could pretty much figure it came that way from the dealer. *blink* *blink* *blink* *blink* *blink* *blink* *blink* *blink* ... 
The parking brake (AKA emergency brake) is a cable operated system, and folks who use that system to lock the rear wheels while driving like a spavined idiot often end up stretching the cables and/or weakening them with repeated over-design-limit use.
ummm can you explain to me how only the e-brake gets weak when drifting, and not the whole rear brakes?
