Traded in the tC on an 09 Tacoma. Dealer gave me an extremely generous trade considering the miles and the mods and now that I'm a homeowner, I needed a truck. I also got sick of putting my mountain bike in the back of the tC. It was either trade it in while I could still get something or drive it in to the ground and I chose the former.

It was a slow car, but with all the suspension mods it was pretty fun. I'll miss ripping thru the gears and whipping around off-ramps and the back roads. I'll miss consistently getting 28 mpg. I'll miss the giant moonroof. I never had a single major mechanical problem with the car and it got me every where I needed to go with a minimum of fuss and a smile on my face.

I won't miss the constant rattles and squeaks that could never be fixed. I won't miss the sounds the car makes when the body flexes over speedbumps, potholes and pebbles in the road. I won't miss being afraid to open the moonroof over 30mph because of the way the panel bounced around so much. I won't miss the terrible paint that seemed to blow off in the wind.

I won't miss the insurance company raising my rates every year by placing the tC in a higher risk category. I won't miss being a cop magnet. I won't miss people in other cars looking at me like I'm some kind of punk. I won't miss the people in fox body mustangs trying to race me so they can "teach me a lesson". I won't miss people in z24 Cavaliers trying to race me because the tC is about the only car they have a chance of beating.

- all the morons who wrecked their tC's pretending to be fast and furious. Thanks for driving my insurance up and making the tC a target for cops
- you know when ugly girls show up to car meets and dudes are all up on 'em 'cause they are girls that showed up to a car meet. Y'all people need to wake up.
- ugly girls that show up at car meets just to get attention from desperate dudes.
- FirmWareWorx. For being such a tease. They posted up some great pictures, got everyone excited, then never returned peoples parts, never shipped product and never returned emails. Then that dude Jose started getting ____ed people were complaining about them.
- all the lames out there who think they're Paul Walker and think loud exhaust + Tein springs on stock shocks = fast car. Y'all are giving everyone else a bad name.

So yeah, it's been fun, but I'm out. Be safe, enjoy your tC's and don't be corny.

Cant say I have had one of the issues or concerns you have with my tC (I run the roof wide open at 80 mph on the freeway and have since I bought the car ) but that is beside the point.

Enjoy the taco, they are cool little trucks and my wife was seriously thinking of one when we were looking for a vehicle for her. Ended up getting an 01 4Runner, so we still got a taco for the most part :D Still loving it, but I need to get a pickup as well... and am considering a used taco!!
