Today I got asked how much my car cost and how nice it is by a complete stranger at a stop light.

 

did they ask you what is a 'sky-on'?

 

Or.. "Look at that ShhheeeeOnnn!"

 

did they ask if it was a girl car...

 

why do people think its a girl car? Its not. We've proven this before.

 

Had mine since october and still fail to make it through a week without being questioned and commented about it. And once people ride in it they love it more. And to put this in perspective, I am a 29 year old professional with friends who own multiple new cars, some beamers etc. So it is cool to hear them all talk about how much they like it. Not just a bunch of kids who have never heard of them.

And to the girl car comment, that is hilarious. I have still seen a total of 3 tCs with girls driving them. And I could care less, cause I like it, which is all that matters unless you are a 13 year old trying to jump on trends But, hey, girls gawk at it all the time, so if that makes it a "chicks" car then more power to them!

I get asked "is that a Suzuki?"
People see the logo on the Enkei Rims and thinks it is a Suzuki. Most people that ask me what car I have don't even know what a Scion is, I have to say it's a Toyota.

 

I dont think he was being cocky, just happy about his car. If I owned a ferrari I would still think the tC is a great car, but then again, I dont put a price tag on everything either. Cool is cool to me.

my dad called the car a "skee-on" when we checked it out at the dealer ship.

 

I had to pass the Atlanta Ferrari dealer on the ride home the day I picked up my Scion. I felt a little less excited for about 5 seconds, then realized that my car didn't cost me my soul.

But damn, they had two brand spankin' new 575 Superamericas in bright red. I found it weird that only 559 were built, apparently all spoken for, and there are two right there going for $307,000. There was also an F40 in for service, complete with race exhaust, fire extinguisher, etc. It was cool to see one in the flesh.

Anyway, back on topic. I still haven't gotten any comments on my car but it's barely been more than a week, all my buds are jealous though. Girls seem to like the radio cover and the moonroof the best.

Also, the other day, coming out of the mall..I saw some teenage couple looking at my car in the parking lot. The guy was like...looking in it...I scared the ____ out of him...I was like "YOU WANNA BUY IT!!?" He jumped and his g/f laughed and started askin about it

 

It's kinda cool, but the "What's a 's-Coin'?" question is getting old.

 

Seriously, get off of the subject about it being a girl car. If you think its a girl car, then don't post on this forum let alone buy the vehicle. I think the vehicle is suitable for both genders.

Me personally, I find a chick driving a tC more sensational than a dude driving it. I just bought mine a week ago and I already have had numerous compliments from females.

 

i got asked that question at a light by someone in front of me in a mini-van .. he stuck his head out the window and asked how much my car cost .. thought that was pretty cool .. yeah people still refer to the car as "sky-on" or "ski-on" .. oh well ..

 

I get praise even from my friends who work for the Big Three and hate imports.

 

cars are not made for girls or guys... if they are, companies like SKYON would lose ton of money. It just got curves that is sexy! it's an opinion and that means you can ignore it!

but yes people love my car, this s2000 with CF hood drove past me around 90 mph, i was driving 55 :T, and then he slowed down and put his hazzard light and was checking me out -_- then drove off around 90 mph
