Default PIC REQUEST: What does ambient maplight feature look like?

Does anyone have pictures of the changing maplight colors feature on their auto dimming mirror? Although I hear it's useless, I also hear it's still pretty neat to look at. Just havn't been able to find one at the dealership to take a look since they're always sold =P. If someone can post of pictures that I could see or even a 10sec vid, that would be awesome. Thanks!

I have the autodim, didn't know there was a way to change the maplight color though. Do you have instructions?

I guess I'll answer MY OWN question.

There's three lights on the maplight, Yellow, Blue, and White.

When they mentioned it was "ambient," I thought they would fade between each other.

In reality, the colors are just switched. So, it shows yellow for like 4 Seconds, Blue for 4 Seconds, and then White for 4 Seconds. I thought it was cool at first cause you have changing colors but it's only really noticable when you're not on the streets because the lights will drown it out. I personally don't use mine much. You also can't see it from outside because the lights are directly below the mirror, so it only shows below.

So, the colors cycle every 4 seconds whenever the headlights are on? Can you stop them from cycling and just show one color or what?

Also, could you take a pic?

Default Yellow?

I don't know about yours...

but mine is Orange (some say amber) this is the same color like the dash.

Then there is Blue

Then there is White.

Yeah... I acutally played with it tonight and it does change... *hehe*

Yeah... you can make it stop and stay on one close if you like.

My bad, yea the colors are Amber/Orange (color from dash), Blue and White. You can basically set it for whatever you want. You can pick one color for the whole time or let it cycle between the three. Don't think headlights need to be on. Just gotta press the button.

Instructions are something like:
First press - White (map light)
Hold for 3 seconds - Amber
Hold for 3 seconds - Blue
Hold for 3 seconds - White
Hold for 3 seconds - Cycle between amber, blue and white
Hold for 3 seconds - off

Someone may need to correct it. So to cycle, you actually gotta hold it down for a while and then just leave it.

It also has to be dark out for the "ambient" lights to stay on.
