are these lights always running, or only when you turn the lights on?
and how hard is it to hook up the wiring for the ballasts n stuff?

They've been around for quite a while: mostly here.

 

the only thing stopping me from getting those are the fact that i'd have to get all Iron Chef up on my headlights.. knowing me, chances are i'll either crack something off or i'll open my oven to reveal a puddle of plastic

Those are just awesome, my boyfriends getting a Tc and he will love those. I drive an Xa, and nobody makes any kind of demon eyes, projectors, anything, it drives me crazy trying to find parts, but i guess as long as i get my 36 mpg im happy lol
