I've had my car for 16 months and so far I've had 5 accidents and 1 break-in attempt (No tickets). The other car I owned I had a perfectly clean record (No accidents, no tickets) except for 2 of my calipers lossening/cracking on me while driving on the freeway. My tC is cursed.

Out of all my accidents, I was only at fault for 1 of them (Accident 1). Long story short, it was a 3 car accident. Some a-hole (Car 1) slammed his brakes on the freeway going 70mph (Filling the air with white smoke) and I was 2 car lengths away from Car 2, so I hit Car 2, causing Car 2 to mildly hit Car 1. All of us stopped at the shoulder, but Car 1 raced off within 20 seconds after he saw my damage and no damage at all to his car.

^....I'm still wondering how can there not be any paint marks on my tC. I found a VERY VERY little black paint smudge on it, but that's about it.

hell no! i've been planning to trade-it in for an '07 stick since i got into my 1st accident last august. it is currently an '06 auto. i just need the money to trade it in. i have right under 20,000 on it.

 

that's probably the best thing to do...i'd do the same

Totally $ucks, bro. Did the body shop repair the damage that THEY did due to their negligence? I hope so. I also hope you don't go back there anymore. Those guys are pathetic! Look at it this way; at least you're still in one piece. Your tC can be replaced. Can you?

 

i had almost the same exact thing happen to my tc, like your accident 5. i also had no paint or anything, i think someone might have kicked it...

 

NO! they never replaced the damn thing. they denied everything! and for accident 1 aftermath, they said it was "battery acid"...but how can battery acid be on my rear driver's side wheel too? that crap is paint. and ever since then, there's been a grainy feeling ALL over my car. not smooth at all anymore. i hate that body shop, they said it was cause of "weathering."

but whatever, my friend's dad owns a body repair shop, so he can help fix all that needs to be replaced.

Get a different car! You are cursed, or you just have a lot of enemies...

 

I can't be cursed! My last car I owned = no accidents. I my tC too much to get a different model! I have so many expectations for my new 07 stick. So far in calculation, it'll cost me $6,200 total for all my mods purchased and shipped to me. Not including install+labor+whatever-else.

 

I agree with you 100% on the cursed car.. My xB was the same way.

2005 xB I owned it for two years

1. Ladder Fell off a truck and I ran over it
2. Semi truck tire exploded while I was next to it
3. Mustang Ran a Red Light and TBoned me
4. Honda Accord pulled into the lane I was occupying
5. U-Hual Truck hit the rear passenger side while I was standing there pumping gas
6. Someone Backed into the front of it in a parking lot with me in it


So Yeah I feel your pain....

 

My has dings out the _______ from people backing into me in the parking garage i park in AND I have like 4 paint scratches/deep gouges from doors hitting mine. _____es. I know your pain and it SUCKS. I think I am cursed in my car. I mean, I have been rear ended like 4 times all by VERY large trucks (no damage though)

i haven't ____ed anybody off. I'm a nice guy. The only enemy I have is my old hip-hop teacher but she doesn't even know I have a tC.

I think they hate my car cause I see a minimum of 25 tCs a day just in my valley. Every other damn new spoiled teenage driver in town gets a tC from their rich ___ stupid parents.

Damn sciondrgn, now that's bad luck. We should start a "curse of the car" club.

 

I feel your pain. 7 days after getting my xA it was hit. I used the $$ to get a widebody kit. After install it started twisting and cracking. Then at 40K miles my tranny blew up completly. At that point I tossed in a used immediatly and traded it in. Once a car is cursed you have to ditch it. Oh, and I heard it but never belived it until it happened to me. If you "christen" your car with your significant other within the 1st year your car is cursed.

 

how much do you think it'll sell if i trade it in for an 07 tc??? remember, accident one went through insurance...so will it depreciate my car alot because of that accident?
i'm getting all my other exterior damages fixed before i trade it in.

ouch... nothing other than a broken mirror for my car yet... knock on wood.... the '07's arent any different than the '06's besides 100 bucks and the keys... or am I mistaken?
