Plus some of your locations arent the best, your car is centered in just about all of the pics or atleast close to center. Also, your focus is on the car, why make it such a small object in the pictures? You should study up on photography for a while. Look at the photographs of cars done by professional photographers. Dont just use the same point and click. Use a tripod as well if you havent been using one.

Also learn some photo editting basics in Photoshop. They will help you out greatly. This is something that took me 2 minutes to do and its VERY simple but makes a ton of difference. Compare this image with your original.

if the contests allows for photo correction, try using photoshop.

first thing you should do is color correction. If you're familair with photoshop, you create a new levels adjustment layer and set the boundries for the blacks, neutral grays and white. Than you can play with curves.

I quickly color corrected the image above. I boosted some things a bit with curves to show the difference. but its up to you on what youd like to do with adjustment curves.

also be sure to use the proper resizing, when you are image resize for reduction you use bi cubic sharper and if you are enlarging use bi cubic smoother

good luck

cheers

Angle also plays a large roll in how successful a photo is. Simply drop to a knee and the photo will be much more dramatic. This is a photo I took with a simple point-and-shoot camera before I got my XTi.

^ Theres a house and a metal fence, that was the best I could do there. I actually entered that pic with the bush on purpose because I liked the fact the bush blocked a little of the car.

Not sure what I was thinking with the rubber part showing though lol I junked up there.

As for the other comments I have a digital camera i got for free so obviously I haven't invested money into top of the line stuff, infact the only thing this camera can change are flash on and off and zoom in and out a little. I also don;t have photoshop.

To whoever wanted to know about the contest, it was somewhere on here in a post..the website was urbanracer.com or something on those lines.

Thanks for the positive and helpful criticism comments if I get more serious in this I'll keep some of the stuff in mind.

I don't know where you are in PA, but if you're around Lancaster, drop me a line and I can take some photos. We have some really good scenic areas around here. I'll PM you my phone # if you're interested.

You really dont need an expensive camera. Im sure what you have is perfectly fine. What you really need is to develop a better photographic sense and your gonna get that by studying what others are doing and then doing it yourself.

As far as photoshop goes, im sure you could umm... find someone... who... has a copy...

This is how you can make different things stand ur car out even more (IMO)

The pic was taken with a 4MP Casio. The reflection is the ferris wheel in American Square, Okinawa Japan. BTW i miss my MR2, and RHD

You just have to look out for spots that will help make your car pop rather than look like you just went round the yard and said "eh good enough"

Although this pic is very blurry, it would have been better if you used a tripod or any kind of steady support

I know, but i didnt own one and i was heading to the races that night so there was no room to carry one even if i did have one. But it shows what i meant about using the things thats around to make the car stand out further. Even though its blurry
