Thanks guys, let me tell you, I'm still sore from installing these on sunday . Man it was a b*tch! the front ones were a piece of cake, but the rear ones were a pain in the a$$. I had to take the trunk appart just to get to one little simple nut on each side. Total time of install=6hrs. My advice is: if you plan on doing this yourself get a friend or two to help you.
Was it worth it? Hell Yeah! it looks sweat and handles soooo muchhh better then it did before and the ride stiffness isn't even an issue.

Dealer service departments should be able to do it in under two hours. Sounds like a good deal to let them do it. Not only to you potentially save warranty hassles, you also save time and effort.

Yeah. but where's the fun in that, plus I only spend an extra fifty dollars for some sprig compressors on top of the price of the springs. I saved myself some money and I had the plesure of getting to know the back of my trunk better .

The rear should be a lot easier than the front. I believe all you have to do on the rear is loosen the lower strut nut and then jack the car up and the springs should just come right out.

I wish it would have been as easy as that, the rear ones come out excatly like the fron the ones do, together with the shock. I had to remove everything from the bottom of the trunk to get to to one of the nuts holding in the shock with the spring.

Saaaay how much did you pay to get those springs installed...?

Anyone? Anyone?

I got another $400 quote today from a different shop.
Looks like my springs will just be sittin around for awhile.

I think I can buy the springs and get them installed from my dealer for about $350. I'll probably do that in the next month or so.

2JZ, You know I'm really not sure if it's a catback or an axleback system. I'm pretty sure the exhaust I ordered was a catback designed by Borla and that's what it was reffered to on all the bills and and such when I signed for the car.

Of course I know so little about exhausts that it could very well be an axleback system. I really do not know how to tell. I do know the exhaust says TRD on the top of it and most of it is chrome all the way back to mid car-ish... it is also of course much louder and aggresive sounding.

I had them install it at port so I wouldn't have to worry about messing with installing an exhaust myself later. (because clearly as you can tell, exhausts are not my speciality)

Please let me know if I should change my signature to correct it.

It's axleback. Sad for us, but gives a chance to get a class action going and have some compensation because there is a big difference between a catback and axleback...

P.S. No, I don't have it and will not have ($400 for noise?), but I did crawl under the demo car to look at it
