I recieved my Weapon R intake, well acutally its just the pipe and nothing else. Can I just walk into any autoparts store and get a KN filter and connectors and claps and a mounting bracket?? Or does that have to come directly from Weapon R??
What about the "hardware" like the connectors and clamps and mounting bracket?? what are the sizes, and measurements of the filter and clamps??

 

It should have came with everything you need. I would call who you got it from and see whats up.

 

Can i buy another air filter and the required hardware?? I don't feel like waiting another week for stuff to come in the mail. I wanna put this intake in already

 

Not really.... theirs is all there own custom stuff.... they must have mispacked it.

I don't see why a k&n filter wouldn't work?? I sent an email to Weapon R, i just don't have time to wait another week or two for them to resend it out, if they even sent it out at all

okay well u guys know thoes silicon couplings that comes with the intake?? Are thoes needed to complete the installation?!?!!!

 

I am not sure how the Weapon R mounts, but if it is like the K&N, find another way to mount it somehow. The engine bay bracket is long and gives it enough leverage to break the mounting point off the top of the motor mount after a few months. The one under the fender will then begin bending and flexing as well. Just some info.

 

There are so many names to describe the rubber pipe sleaves/couplings. i dunno which is the proper term. I cant find them at any auto shop or at a hardware store, are theses things required for installation for the SW SRI, thanks guys
